My own personal police station...

Some days I feel like I live in my own personal police station! You see each of my children have become some type of police officer in my home. Brady is constantly on alarm duty. If any alarm goes off in our house he comes and gets me and yells in baby language until I get up and fix whatever has rung. This wouldn't be such a big deal if we didn't have alarms on the phone, the washer, the dryer, the stove, the dishwasher, and the pressure cooker. They all constantly go off and he feels it is his duty to let me know. He is also an officer in the lost and found department. If you leave your phone out, your purse out, or even your shoes out he will bring them to you for you to put away. Eli is my word police. If you say any word that he deems improper he will let you know! His little ears listen to all phone calls and conversations even those with mom and dad. Please remember you can not even call the washer or dishwasher dumb because we don't use these words! And if your going to discuss your job the boy has the memory of an elephant and will ask if you have solved that particular problem the next day! Last, we have my two fact checkers. These two are pros at the details, particularly those that deal with the other siblings punishment and chores or any kind of money owed to them. They do suffer from a slight blind spot when it comes to their own punishments but the other sibling can always fill in the details. There is never a doubt who is grounded, whose night it is the clean the kitchen, or who got the treat last time. You can bet they always know that they were the last one to clean the playroom too! Without these two I wouldn't know who to pay and who is grounded. So, I guess in a nutshell these cops keep my life in order! Aren't you jealous you don't have your own personal police squad????
